Anson Resources delivers 25% increase in lithium grades of Mississippian Units at Cane Creek 32-1 Well

The company has delivered a grade increase in the lithium brines, confirming the massive, supersaturated brine aquifer in the Mississippian Units of Cane Creek 32-1 well are rich in lithium and bromine and ripe for a JORC resource estimate.

Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) has boosted the lithium grade in the Mississippian Units of its Cane Creek 32-1 well at the Paradox Lithium Project in the US, with results of 101 parts per million (ppm) lithium and 3,294ppm bromine through the entire drilled zone.

These lithium grades are 25% higher than previously reported from historical results, confirming the massive, supersaturated brine aquifer in the Mississippian Units are rich in lithium and bromine.

The average grade from the company’s Eastern Strategy resource expansion drilling, which includes the Cane Creek and Long Canyon wells, is about 145ppm lithium, and 3,544ppm bromine.

Resource expansion on the horizon

Anson expects results from its resource expansion program to produce a ‘significant’ JORC-compliant resource for the Cane Creek well in the near-term.

The company has noticed similarities between the grades and brines of the Mississippian Units at the Cane Creek well and the Clastic Zones from earlier wells, indicating possible connectivity between the two brine sources.

These similarities may enable Anson to generate a resource estimate of a higher confidence category, as the Clastic Zones already have an indicated and inferred resource.

Finally, ASN will soon begin its Western Strategy to expand the resource into the western portion of the project, which is expected to deliver more resource upgrades once complete.
