Los Andes Copper Ltd (TSX-V:LA) (Los Andes Copper Ltd (TSX-V:LA)) CEO R Michael Jones tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that a decline in the price of copper to below $4 per pound is at odds with growing demand for the metal for electrification projects and the global energy transition.
He says demand is estimated to double to about 50 million tonnes a year by 2035, while large deposits are becoming increasingly hard to find and permit.
Jones also gives an update on the company's world-class Vizcachitas Copper Project in Chile, saying it is on track to release a pre-feasibility study by the end of 2022.
