Mindset Pharma Inc (CSE:MSET, OTCQB:MSSTF) CEO James Lanthier speaks to Proactive's Stephen Gunnion after the company announced it had chosen a pair of psychedelic drug clinical candidates from its Family 2 program of potential mental health medications to advance its program to IND enabling studies.
Lanthier said the lead candidate MSP-2020, and back-up drug candidate MSP-2003, were selected after extensive preclinical screening studies done in collaboration with the McQuade Center for Strategic Research and Development LLC (MSRD), a member of the global Otsuka family of pharmaceutical companies.
There's the possibility to advance to clinical human trials for the candidates, which when compared to psilocin and psilocybin show the potential to be stronger and faster acting, Lanthier added.
