Renforth Resources said results from July sampling at Lalonde, Surimeau project have validated further exploration in area

The sampling this summer revealed mineralization in a second channel, previously only seen within the historic pit at Lalonde, said Renforth

Renforth Resources Inc (CSE:RFR, OTCQB:RFHRF) said the results from the July channel sampling program at the Lalonde structure at its Surimeau battery metals project in Quebec have validated the company's further work in the area.

The sampling this summer revealed mineralization in a second channel, previously only seen within the historic pit at Lalonde, said Renforth.

The July work also confirmed a second, undrilled and not previously seen mineralized horizon at Victoria, which sits around 3.7 kilometres (km) north of the Victoria stripped area.

A current stripping program at Lalonde has discovered two shears, a north and a south, the company also noted.

Highlight channel sampling results from Lalonde and Victoria in July included 0.42% nickel (Ni) and 240 parts per million (ppm) cobalt over 0.6 metres (m). In the same channel was 0.358% nickel and 195.91 ppm cobalt over a length of 1.5m.

"Our discovery that we only addressed half of the mineralization in the area we stripped and drilled at Victoria, demonstrated by our results in the field, including the channels reported on in this press release, and supported by our Mag/EM survey (flown after our 2021 drilling/stripping/drilling work at Victoria), caused our field geologists to approach Lalonde with their recent Victoria experience in mind, looking for more than one horizon," said Renforth.

"Rather than stripping along strike (as we did at Victoria) to expose as much mineralization as we could, we instead decided to strip across strike with three smaller trenches, designed to uncover any possible parallel mineralized horizons.

On the current stripping program, the company noted that as of September 29 this year, the first two trenches were stripped, washed, and cut. A third was about 70% complete and all three expose the same sequence of units with massive ultramafics to the south, and sediments to the north.
