H&M to trial charging for clothing returns

Like many in the fashion world, the retailer has lamented the high number of returns and the associated costs that come with that

Swedish fashion retailer H&M is the latest to consider charging customers an online return fee as the number of refunds rises by 30%.

Like many in the fashion world, such as Boohoo and Asos, the retailer has lamented the high number of returns and the associated costs that come with that.

H&M’s chief executive, Helena Helmersson, said it will trial a return fee in a few of its markets.

Online items returned where a courier needs to collect the parcel will have a fee attached to them, but for items returned in-store there will be no charge.
