Lamprell requests shares to be suspended from London Stock Exchange

Lamprell will now apply to cancel the admission of the company’s ordinary shares

Lamprell PLC (LSE:LAM, OTC:LMPRF), the engineering and contracting services provider to the energy sector, requested to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) that its shares are suspended from trading effective this morning.

A statement said that it was “not possible” to complete the review process for its interim results for the six months 30 June and publish them by last Friday’s (30 September) deadline.

On July 21, the group recommended an offer from Thunderball Investments, formed by Blofeld Investment Management Ltd and AlGihaz Holding, for the shares in Lamprell they did not already own.

According to an announcement made last week, and following approval from its shareholders, the company will delist from the London Stock Exchange shortly. The cancellation is expected to take effect on 25 October.
