Atlantic Lithium said its progress at its Ewoyaa lithium prospects over the past six months had justified its decision to demerge its gold assets from the rest of the business.

“Over the period, we increased the Mineral Resource Estimate for Ewoyaa twice, as well as delivering a Scoping Study and, post-period end, an impressive Pre-Feasibility Study on the project,” said Neil Herbert, executive chairman.

Tower Resources PLC (AIM:TRP) chief executive Jeremy Asher highlighted "significant progress in a volatile environment" as the AIM-quoted explorer reported interim results for the first six months of 2022.

Open Orphan PLC (AIM:ORPH, OTC:OPORF), which is soon changing its name to hVIVO PLC, announced that positive data from a peer-reviewed study that evaluates the in-vitro efficacy of FLU-v, a broad spectrum influenza vaccine, was published in the scientific journal Vaccines.

FLU-v is owned by Imutex, a joint venture between hVIVO and PepTcell Ltd set up with the aim of developing vaccines against influenza and mosquito-borne diseases such as Zika virus, malaria and other flaviviruses.

The group went public in January, netting £4.15mln in the process, thus ending the period in an enviable net cash position with £2mln in the bank post capital expenditure, with no outstanding debt.

Polarean Imaging PLC (AIM:POLX, OTC:PLLWF) said it has been granted a 90-day extension by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to 30 December 2022 in order for the regulator to review the company’s new drug application.

Polarean has developed a drug-device system that provides enhanced imagery of the lungs using hyperpolarised xenon-129 gas.

The revolving credit facility with AIB Group and NatWest has been extended to £135mln from £75mln, increasing its total borrowing capacity to £205mln.

Challenger Energy Group PLC (AIM:CEG, OTC:BSHPF), the Caribbean and Atlantic margin-focused oil and gas company, posted a profit of US$4.28mln in the half year to end-June 2022 after gains from restructuring its operations in Trinidad and Tobacco. Operating losses were US$5.94mln (US$6.35mln) offset by one-off gains of US$8.6mln. Revenues were US$2.68mln (US$2.3mln)

In a going concern statement, Challenger said it should have enough cash for at least twelve months based on its current assumptions.

Catenae Innovation PLC (AIM:CTEA) has published its results for the year-end September 2021 and also its interims to March 2022, both of which were held up by delays in getting the audit completed. Losses in the half year to March were £287,000 with net assets of £110,000. In the year to September, the digital media group published a loss of £1.25mln. Cash and equivalents at the end of March were £337,000.

Landore Resources Ltd (AIM:LND, OTC:LNDLF) said it expects to complete the strategic review of its BAM Gold and battery metals deposits on the Junior Lake property by the end of this quarter.

The options under consideration include potential joint venture arrangements or strategic partnerships, the sale of all or a part of its wholly owned subsidiary, Landore Resources Canada Inc. or the Junior Lake Project, or 'a combination thereof'. Landore reported a loss of £794,000 (£2.4mln) in the six months to end June 2022 with cash at the period end of £740,000.

Thor Mining PLC (AIM:THR, OTC:THORF, ASX:THR) released its audited annual financial report for the twelve months ended 30 June.
