Live Company Group PLC (AIM:LVCG) said it is cautiously optimistic about the next 18 months after what it said was an incredibly challenging period for the events and entertainment company.
A first BrickLive event since the outbreak of Covid was held at the ICC in Wales in June, with a second in August in London, while this year also saw an inaugural KPOP festival in Frankfurt.
Elsewhere, work is underway for a Formula E SUV race in Cape Town, while a StART.ART live art event recently took place in Seoul with a second planned for London next month.
David Ciclitira, Live Company chairman, said: "Despite a difficult backdrop in Q1 and Q2, I am pleased with the progress we continue to make across all our divisions.”
Ciclitira added that cash continues to be tight but its partner in the StART event in Seoul has established a partnership in South Korea that will involve a payment to Live Company of £300,000.
Revenue for the six months to 30 June 2022 was £2.6mln, 319% up on the six months to 30 June 2021 and 27% up on the immediately preceding six months to 31 December 2021, reflecting the emergence of the events sector from its Covid-19 imposed hiatus.
That includes revenues for 100% of KPE of which Live Company owns 50%.
Losses after tax for the six months to June 2022 were £1.4mln (£2.1mln).
