Voyager Life shares resume trading as it snubs potential acquisition

“Voyager remains committed to its principles of sound financial management and transparent corporate governance," it said

Voyager Life PLC (AQSE:VOY) shares are back trading, following a brief suspension on the Aquis Exchange, as the CBD company announced it would not be acquiring the business and assets of Tree of Life UK.

The company, responding to media speculation about a potential deal, said that it had considered a transaction for Tree of Life among several other opportunities that it continues to review, but for a number of reasons, including risks outlined in media articles, it decided that it is not an acquisition that the company should pursue.

Talks over Tree of Life were subsequently ended.

In the meantime, Voyager said it has a strong balance sheet and it has been examining potential consolidation and partnership opportunities.

“Voyager has already received several enquiries but also is exploring other opportunities of which it is aware,” the company said.

It added: “Voyager remains committed to its principles of sound financial management and transparent corporate governance.

“As the market in which it operates consolidates and further opportunities present themselves for Voyager to expand its range of activities, the directors will continue to examine potential collaborations and combinations whilst at all times maintaining its conservative approach to running costs and the importance of sustainable revenue generation.”
