Maverix Metals Inc (TSX:MMX) has announced that it has completed the acquisition of a portfolio of 22 royalties from Barrick Gold Corporation for a reduced upfront cash payment of $37.2 million down from $50 million as the result of Skeena Resources Ltd exercising repurchase rights related to Barrick’s Eskay Creek project. The company said on September 26, Skeena Resources exercised its right to repurchase 0.5% of the 1% net smelter return royalty on the Eskay Creek project from Barrick for a payment of C$17.5 million. Maverix said it used existing cash on hand and its revolving credit facility to fund the cash payment. (edited)

Numinus Wellness Inc will participate in the Cantor Neurology & Psychiatry Conference, held October 6-7 at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco, the company announced. CEO Payton Nyquvest will take part in a panel discussion titled, “Digital-Pharma and a new way of thinking for NeuroPsych” at 9 am PT (noon ET) on October 7. Numinus will also participate in the Cantor Symposium on Mental Health Clinics on October 11. Nyquvest will join a virtual fireside chat with Pablo Zuanic, an analayst at Cantor Research, at 8 am PT (11 am ET).

Additionally, Water Tower Research has started coverage of Numinus Wellness and sees a great opportunity for the mental health and well-being company to tap into the multi-billion psychedelic industry. The broker said Numinus is positioning itself as a leading provider of infrastructure to enable the industry to develop by providing accessibility to and support for ongoing research in psychedelics as well as accessibility to patient-facing sites into which psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies can be funneled to treat patients.

American Manganese Inc is now Recylico Battery Materials Inc, pursuant to a name change resolution passed by shareholders in July. Beginning on October 3, shares of Recylico will commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange and shares of American Manganese will be delisted. The company’s AMY ticker will remain unchanged.

ChitogenX Inc (CSE:CHGX), formally known as Ortho Regenerative Technologies, said it achieved a key milestone by initiating the enrollment of the first patients in its US phase I/II rotator cuff tear repair clinical trial in its second quarter ended July 31, 2022, for the fiscal year 2023. The Canadian company focused on the development of soft tissue repair regenerative technologies, initiated patients’ enrollment following completion of the first patient surgery in its US Phase I/II rotator cuff tear repair clinical trial. The first patient surgery was successfully completed at the Tucson Orthopaedic Institute in Arizona. The clinical trial will enroll 78 patients at 10 US clinical sites. The ORTHO-R phase I/II clinical study is a prospective, controlled, and blinded clinical trial, to weigh the safety and effectiveness of its ORTHO-R soft tissue repair platform as an adjunct to standard of care surgery versus standard of care surgery alone for rotator cuff tear repair.

On September 28, HighGold Mining Inc announced additional ultra-high grade assays from the Ellis zone at its Johnson Tract property in Alaska, and analysts at Stifel GMP have taken notice. In a flash note published the same day, analysts called the batch of six holes a “strong step.” All told, the firm values the entire Difficult Creek Prospect area (including Ellis) at $15 million but expects that valuation to increase as the Ellis zone becomes a “major, high-grade mineralized center.”

SinglePoint Inc said its subsidiary Boston Solar broke ground on a high-profile commercial solar system for the MGM Music Hall at Fenway on September 6, 2022, with the installation slated for completion in October. The company said the project is designed to generate approximately 158,766 kilowatt hours of clean energy to power the 91,500 square-foot arena, which seats 5,009 people. SinglePoint said the solar panel system being installed on the rooftop of the MGM Music Hall would also provide solar benefits to Fenway Park, paving the way for more innovative solar power uses by sports complexes and entertainment venues across the country.

Avalon GloboCare Corp (NASDAQ:AVCO) has received a notice of allowance from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) related to its QTY fusion water-soluble receptor protein platform. The company’s QTY code is a breakthrough technology that can turn difficult to work with water-insoluble transmembrane receptor proteins into water-soluble proteins, enabling their potential use in many clinical applications, including drug development, the company said.

Los Andes Copper Ltd (TSX-V:LA) said it continues to progress its pre-feasibility study (PFS) at its Vizcachitas copper-molybdenum porphyry project in Chile, with the PFS on track to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year. The company said the PFS is advancing, with a team of internal technician experts and independent engineers at Tetra Tech working towards optimized operational mine plans. Successful drilling completed in 2022 has been incorporated into the resource model and opportunities to increase the potential project mining rate are being assessed, the company said.

Bhang Inc (CSE:BHNG, OTCQB:BHNGF) said it plans to launch two new as-yet-unnamed Bhang business units and unveiled a new tie-up with Conrad Florez - a Lima-based Peruvian street artist. The firm's growth plans, along with the re-emphasis on its aim to foster additional creative relationships, were unveiled this week at MJ Unpacked, the event for cannabis brands and retailers in Las Vegas.

The Good Shroom (TSX-V:MUSH) Company Inc’s subsidiary Teonan Biomedical Inc, which operates Nordique Royale, revealed that it has begun selling another hash product in Quebec, which is Canada's largest hash market. The Montreal-based company revealed that Le Kush X by Nordique Royale launched on Thursday. The company received its first purchase order, or PO, for the product for $24,030 and expects to “receive replenishment PO's every one to two weeks for this product in addition to its other products.” The launch is happening in nearly 30% of stores for the first six months and is expected to move into all stores after that, said the company. The size of the purchase orders is also expected to increase concurrently, noted the firm.

ORAGIN Foods Inc has announced its results for the second quarter ended July 31, 2022 which were impacted by significant renovations at one of its retail locations. The company said the short-term impact of the renovations are expected to be offset by long-term benefits. In a statement, Matt Lurie, CEO of ORAGIN commented: "We continue to focus on and prioritize our operational goals for both the short- and long-term as well as strategies to increase in-store sales, including enhanced and targeted advertising and promotion. “The renovations impacted our second quarter sales and results; however, we expect that the short-term negative impacts will be offset by the long-term expectations for the location.”

Looking Glass Labs Ltd (LGL) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary House of Kibaa (HoK) has provided each of its HoK Genesis members and all members of the GenX NFT community with a GenX Bar as part of its recurring drop program. The drop is in celebration of the first birthday of its GenX collection. One year ago, HoK successfully minted and dropped the GenX NFT collection, which sold out in just 37 minutes for total proceeds of C$6.2 million, the company said. “We are excited to create more value for Genesis Members and GenX NFT holders by gifting them a metaverse-ready GenX Bar in celebration of GenZeroes’ first birthday,” Dorian Banks, CEO of LGL said in a statement.

Progressive Planet Solutions Inc (TSX-V:PLAN) has reported a sharp improvement in its gross margin for the first quarter ended July 31, 2022. The company which manufactures agricultural, household and industrial products said its gross margin in the quarter was 27% compared to 13% in the prior quarter. "We are delighted to announce our improved gross margin," stated Steve Harpur, CEO in a statement. "We have not relaxed our efforts to improve production efficiencies as we pursue a strategy of increased output per plant operator by building our fertilizer and cement production capacities in a standalone building at our premises in Kamloops, BC.”

Goldshore Resources Inc (TSX-V:GSHR, OTCQB:GSHRF) has announced assay results from the ongoing 100,000-meter (m) drill program at its Moss Lake project in northwest Ontario, which included 192.75m of 1.02 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 94.5m. The emerging junior gold development company said poorly surveyed drill sections in the Main Zone have confirmed higher-grade gold mineralization within a large volume of well-mineralized diorite. “As we have been discussing for some time, the continued results of intersecting wide zones of +1 g/t Au (gold) mineralization underpin our belief that the Moss Lake Deposit has potential to develop an initial high-grade phase 1 open pit within the larger low-grade open pit operation,” Goldshore Resources CEO Brett Richards said in a statement.

Soma Gold Corp said the company and the union representing employees at its Operadora Minera SAS subsidiary have successfully completed negotiations and entered a new contract. Regular work hours will resume on September 29, 2022, it said. "Our team worked diligently with the union negotiators over the last 10 days and have now resolved all outstanding issues,” said Soma Gold president and CEO Javier Cordova in a statement. “Our thanks to them and the Colombian Ministry of Labor for their assistance in keeping the duration of the strike to as short a period as possible.”

Endexx Corporation said that its line of premium men's skincare Blesswell is now available internationally through Amazon.com. The product, which was previously available in the United States, is now also available in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Endexx CEO Todd Davis told investors that Blesswell’s expansion into international distribution is part of the firm’s overall distribution strategy across all its product lines.

Perk Labs Inc is seeing early signs of success from the signing of new monthly subscribing customers and the increased use of its Perk Hero platform. “We signed a number of annual contracts and are tremendously encouraged to see our annual recurring software-as-a-subscription revenue increase by 61.6%,” Perk CEO Jonathan Hoyles said in a results statement. The technology company’s platform enables businesses to offer QR-code-powered ordering and payment, digital loyalty rewards and mobile marketing.

ACME Lithium Inc announced that CEO Stephen Hanson has been invited to present at the Conference on Mining and its Role in EV Demand, presented by Maxim Group LLC and hosted by M-Vest, on Tuesday, October 4th at 11 A.M. EDT. Kodiak Copper Corp has reported more impressive drill results from the Gate Zone at its 147-square-kilometre (sq km) MPD copper-gold project in British Columbia, which have expanded mineralization in that area. The company posted assays from five holes from this year's fully-funded 25,000 metre (m) program. "The Gate Zone has delivered further impressive drill intercepts as we continue to increase the size of mineralized envelope, which now extends to a kilometer in north-south direction and a depth of 900 metres," said Claudia Tornquist, CEO of Kodiak.

NEXE Innovations Inc (TSX-V:NEXE, OTC:NEXNF) said the 2022 financial year was an important one for the company as it built a solid operational footprint as part of its ongoing strategy. Endeavour Mining, the West Africa-focused gold producer, revealed it has appointed Sakhila Mirza, currently general counsel and an executive director of the board of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), as an independent non-executive director, effective from today, September 29. Thus, Endeavour's board now comprises nine members, of which five are considered independent under the UK Corporate Governance Code. They are Alison Baker, Ian Cockerill (senior independent director), Livia Mahler, Sakhila Mirza, and Tertius Zongo. Endeavour's chairman Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan was considered independent at the time of his appointment. In addition, James Askew and Naguib Sawiris serve as non-executive directors, alongside Sebastien de Montessus as executive director, president and CEO, said the miner.

Steppe Gold Limited (TSX:STGO, OTCQX:STPGF) announced that it has entered into an agreement with Triple Flag International Ltd for a short-term gold prepay facility. As the gold miner explained in a release, one of the consequences of the zero covid policy in China and the closures along its border with Mongolia has been a shortage of available US dollars with banks in Mongolia, and Steppe Gold sales revenue is received in Mongolian Tugrik. Under the terms of the agreement, Triple Flag has advanced net funds of US$4.6 million to Steppe Gold after fees and legal costs. The Triple Flag Gold Prepay Facility will be repaid over six months starting December 23, 2023 by six monthly deliveries of 500 ounces of gold for a total of 3,000 ounces.

American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:AREC) announced that its majority-owned ReElement Technologies LLC division has appointed battery industry veteran and expert Bob Galyen to its advisory board. The supplier of rare earth and critical elements said Galyen brings 46 years of battery industry experience that includes time as chief technology officer of CATL, the world's largest manufacturer of lithium batteries.

New Pacific Metals (TSX:NUAG, NYSE:NEWP) Corp said it has filed its fiscal 2022 annual report on Form 40-F with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which is also available on the company’s website. Copper Fox Metals Inc (TSX-V:CUU, OTCQX:CPFXF) said its unaudited interim consolidated financial statements for the third quarter have been filed on SEDAR. For the nine months ended July 31, 2022, Copper Fox made a net loss of C$889,829, compared with a loss of C$747,620 a year ago.
