finnCap Group PLC said chief operating officer and executive director Tom Hayward is leaving on 20 January 2023 after 12 years with the company.
Hayward joined finnCap as its first chief financial officer in 2010 and went on to lead the M&A business as its managing partner following the 2018 IPO, before stepping up to the role of COO.
Commenting on Hayward’s departure, chairman Robert Lister said: "Our thanks must go to Tom for his operational leadership over the past 12 years.
“During this time the firm has grown substantially. In particular, Tom led the acquisition of Cavendish Corporate Finance and the execution of the combined group's IPO in 2018, the key step we have undertaken to diversify our business.
“We will benefit from his continued membership of the board and the business over the coming months. After 12 years' contribution, we understand Tom's desire to pursue a new direction and we wish the very best for the future."
