Naturally Splendid Enterprises Ltd. (TSX-V:NSP, OTC:NSPDF) has provided a summary of the distribution network assembled for sales and distribution of its Plantein line of plant-based foods.
The plant-based food manufacturing and technology company said it has engaged Canex Foods, a full-service food importer, as distribution coordinator to work closely with its roster of distributors who have the option to draw inventory directly from Naturally Splendid or coordinate shipments through Canex distribution centres/freezer storage facilities located in Canada's two largest markets, Vancouver and Toronto.
The arrangement optimizes shipping logistics across the country, according to Naturally Splendid.

The company also noted its network of distributors has a cumulative total of over 25 distribution centres across Canada and hundreds of sales representatives servicing Canada coast to coast.
In addition to the two national distributors, Naturally Splendid said it has boosted the distribution coverage by engaging with specialty and regional distributors to target certain market segments.
The distributors include Greenbridge Foodservice, a national foodservice sales and marketing organization with a group of seven distribution members and 15 distribution centres that provides coast to coast coverage across Canada.
It also includes Vegan Supply, a Vancouver-based company with both retail and foodservice distribution, which is listing five Plantein plant-based entrees: Nuggets, Schnitzel, Crumbed Tenders, Sweet Chili Tenders, and Crispy Burgers.
“We have secured two of the largest foodservice distributors in North America, which are complemented by regional and specialty distributors,” Naturally Splendid CEO Craig Goodwin said in a statement.
“Our regional and specialty distributors have been selected for their established clientele and ability to service niche markets, while the larger distributors will service the mainstream market through their national infrastructure,” Goodwin added.
