ATOME Energy takes another step towards production with Natixis appointment, says finnCap

Natixis is part of the second-largest banking group in France

ATOME PLC’s appointment of Natixis to structure and secure financing for its 60 MW Villeta green hydrogen and ammonia project in Paraguay marks another step towards fulfilling its ambition of becoming a major green hydrogen and ammonia producer, says broker finnCap.

Natixis is part of the second-largest banking group in France and one of the world leaders in hydrogen and energy infrastructure funding, said the City broker.

Significant interest in the project has already been shown by international multi-lateral bodies as well as other institutions.

FinCap said the expected Final Investment Decision (FID) for the project has slipped slightly, into the first quarter of 2023, but Atome and Natixis are confident in achieving funding of the project and are still targeting the start of construction by mid-2023 and first production in early 2025.

The broker's 205p per share price target remains unchanged and has significant de-risking potential as ATOME’s projects rapidly progress through key development milestones.
