Games Workshop Group PLC (LSE:GAW) said trading for the three months to August 28 was in line with the board's expectations with core revenues up to around £106mln from £98mln in 2021/22.
In a brief trading update, the UK manufacturer of miniature wargames said licensing revenues fell to around £3mln from £5mln in 2021/22, while pre-tax profits dropped to around £39mln from £45mln in the previous period.
The company also declared a dividend of 30p per share, taking dividends declared in 2022/23 to £1.20 per share - nearly double last year’s 65p which it said was in line with its policy to distribute truly surplus cash.
The group said it remained focussed on sales growth and cost management.
