Sidus Space principal satellite engineer Ryan Jeffrey honored in Space & Satellite Professionals International “20 under 35” list

Space & Satellite Professionals International's annual list of “20 under 35” features 20 young professionals who continue to demonstrate growth potential within their organization and will be industry professionals to watch in the future

Sidus Space Inc (NASDAQ:SIDU) has announced that its principal satellite engineer Ryan Jeffrey has been included in the Space & Satellite Professionals International “20 under 35” list.

The company said the annual list of “20 under 35” features 20 young professionals who continue to demonstrate growth potential within their organization and will be industry professionals to watch in the future.

Jeffrey joined Sidus parent company Craig Technologies in 2013, completing an internship before joining full-time as a manufacturing engineer.

Since transitioning to Sidus, the company said Jeffrey was responsible for the development and launch of the CraigX Flight Test Platform, which was successfully deployed in 2019, and he has served as the lead engineer for Concept Constellation, a Satellite-as-a-Service hosted payload solution for testing spaceflight subcomponents to raise the Technology Readiness Level of Flight Hardware.

In his current role at Sidus, Jeffrey manages all aspects of the development and execution of LizzieSat, the company’s multipurpose satellite that integrates custom payloads leveraging flight-proven communications, power, navigation & computing subsystems to provide domestic and international customers with valuable data from Low Earth Orbit, Sidus said.

Sidus CEO Carol Craig said Jeffrey was an integral part of the Sidus team.

“Since the near-decade we’ve been working together, Ryan is accomplished beyond his years, having successfully developed and launched our EFPT, managing the design, fabrication, and test of the Orion Crew Capsule Mini Lift Station, and will play a significant role in the launch services for multiple LizzieSat satellite deployments with SpaceX,” Craig said.

“At Sidus, it’s important for us to invest in young talent and Ryan’s continued passion for the industry and ability to embrace opportunities showed my team the importance of having this up-and-coming leader join our staff.”

Located in Cape Canaveral, Florida, Sidus operates from a 35,000-square-foot manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing facility focused on vertically integrated Space-as-a-Service solutions including end-to-end satellite support.
