Tocvan Ventures outlines near-term plans for its two projects in Sonora state, Mexico

As reported earlier in September, also planned is a maiden drill program targeting the San Ramon prospect at the company's El Picacho property

Tocvan Ventures Corp. (CSE:TOC) has revealed what investors can expect coming up soon at its projects in Sonora state, Mexico, with preparations for a bulk sample earmarked at its Pilar asset in October and November this year.

As reported earlier in September, also planned is a maiden drill program targeting the San Ramon prospect at the company's El Picacho property.

"Over the last year we have seen a major advancement in our understanding of our Pilar and El Picacho projects," said Tocvan's CEO Brodie Sutherland in a statement.

"We are excited to continue that advancement with the first large-scale bulk sample at Pilar to further confirm the grade and recovery of gold and silver. This information will lead us into permitting for our own pilot facility at Pilar," he added.

Sutherland continued: "At the same time, drilling will commence at our El Picacho project initially targeting our highly prospective San Ramon area, one of several target areas permitted for drilling. Pilar still has potential for expansion and will remain a focus for us with continued drilling on several trends that remain open to the southeast.

"Our success over the past two years has gained a lot of interest from large-scale producers in the region, we look forward to building off that success and developing strong relationships during the upcoming operating season and beyond."

Exploration at the Pilar gold-silver project will continue with drilling scheduled to follow-up on key expansion target areas and provide data ahead of future resource calculations. A 2,000 metre (m) infill program and 3,000m of step-out and exploration drilling is planned.

At El Picacho, where permitting has been received for 15,000m of drilling and 2,000m of trenching, Tocvan said it also plans trenching and surface exploration at the Jabali and Cornea targets, as well as at the San Ramon prospect.

Tocvan is earning 100% into two exciting opportunities in Sonora - the Pilar gold-silver project and the El Picacho gold-silver project. Both are near to currently producing mines or projects moving towards development.

The El Picacho project covers 24 square kilometres and lies 140 kilometres (km) north of Hermosillo and just 18 km southwest of the producing San Francisco mine. Five primary zones of mineralization have been identified across the property totaling over 6 km of prospective trends.

Tocvan was created in order to take advantage of the prolonged downturn in the junior mining exploration sector, by identifying and negotiating interest in opportunities where management feels it can build upon previous successes.
