New Pacific Metals (TSX:NUAG, NYSE:NEWP) Corp has announced assay results from the final 53 drill holes from its 2022 resource infill and step-out drilling program completed at the Silver Sand Project. The company said all assays from the drill program have now been received and a mineral resource estimate update is expected to be completed by October 2022, noting that Silver Sand's maiden Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) report is on track to be completed by the end of 2022 as planned. The 2022 drill program of 19,323 metres (m) in 86 drill holes, together with the holes drilled in 2021, intended to expand and improve the confidence in the geological model and Mineral Resource Estimate released in April 2020 and to be used for the PEA.

Cypress Development Corp (TSX-V:CYP, OTCQX:CYDVF) said it has achieved a significant milestone with the production of 99.94% lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) made from lithium-bearing claystone from the company's 100%-owned Clayton Valley Lithium Project in Nevada, USA. The Li2CO3 was derived from the intermediate concentrated lithium solution produced at Cypress' Lithium Extraction Facility in Amargosa Valley, Nevada (Pilot Plant). Following direct lithium extraction (DLE) at the plant, Saltworks Technologies Inc. (Saltworks) completed the processing system design and pilot work to make the Li2CO3. "These are excellent results for the initial iteration of testing and will be incorporated into our on-going Feasibility Study on the Project" said Bill Willoughby, Cypress president, and CEO in a statement.
Levitee Labs (CSE:LVT) Inc has announced the completion of the sale of the right, title and interest in all of the assets of Earth Circle Organics Chain Inc to B&W Acquisition Corp on August 29, 2022. Under the terms of the asset purchase agreement, dated July 22, 2022, the purchaser had agreed to acquire the Earth Circle assets via a cash payment of US$329,950; deferred cash payment of $100,000 to be released at a future date following the closing; a credit for assumed liabilities paid at the closing; and the forgiveness of all unpaid prior debts owed by the company. Levitee also said it has agreed to amend and restate a financing agreement dated October 20, 2021, with RiverFort Global Opportunities PCC Ltd, under which it had drawn down an initial $2.5 million tranche.
Predictive Oncology Inc has announced that J. Melville (Mel) Engle will retire as its chief executive officer, chairman and a member of the company's board of directors. The company said Engle will continue to serve in his role through October 31, 2022, to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities. The governance committee of the company’s board of directors is working on a succession plan to replace Engle as chief executive officer, it added. QC Copper and Gold Inc said it has continued to enhance the prospects of its Opemiska Copper-Gold Property unveiling more broad zones of high-grade copper and gold. The latest results from 23 holes within the Starter Pit and Saddle Zone areas returned exceptional intersections such as in hole 220, which cut two zones over 76 meters (m) core length starting at 80m that assayed 1.5% copper (Cu) and 0.16 grams per ton (g/t) gold (Au) over 19m followed by 0.97% Cu and 0.26 g/t Au over 35m, the Toronto-based company announced. Another three holes - 223, 226 and 227 - highlighted the expected high-gold grades near the Gwillim Fault, which forms the southern limit of the Opemiska Deposit, it added.
FansUnite Entertainment Inc (TSX:FANS, OTCQX:FUNFF) said it has entered into a definitive agreement with Centurion Financial Trust, an investment trust formed by Centurion Asset Management Inc, one of Canada's leading asset management companies specializing in real estate and other alternative asset classes, in respect of a senior term loan up to C$12,350,000. The company said the purposes of the loan are for restructuring of earn-out obligations owed to a number of individuals under the definitive agreement dated November 22, 2021. FansUnite will initially draw on C$8,233,000. Under the restructuring, the payments will constitute of US$4,775,000 (C$6,303,000) upfront - cash and loan forgiveness - and US$550,000 (C$726,000) contingent on certain future events, resulting in an estimated reduction in contingent liabilities of the company of over C$43.0M. "With current market conditions and share price, we made it a priority to restructure the earn-out terms of the American Affiliate acquisition as it was in the best interest of all parties and our shareholders," said Scott Burton, CEO of FansUnite in a statement. "We secured senior debt with a great partner to allow us to significantly reduce the contingent liability associated with the acquisition, resulting in substantially less future dilution for our shareholders."
Algernon Pharmaceuticals Inc said it has filed a request for Orphan Designation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the use of Ifenprodil as a treatment for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). "The outlook for patients with IPF remains dismal, with 50% mortality expected within 3-4 years, and so new treatments are desperately needed," Christopher J. Moreau CEO of Algernon said in a statement. "Algernon will continue working to accelerate the development of Ifenprodil as a potential new therapy for IPF with cough." The company said it has decided to focus on the continued investigation of Ifenprodil for IPF with cough after hitting its key co-primary endpoint in its Phase 2a study of IPF with chronic cough.

Cordoba Minerals Corp (TSX-V:CDB, OTCQB:CDBMF) said it has intersected additional high-grade copper-gold veins within the Alacran Deposit at its San Matias project in Colombia based on assay results from eight additional diamond drill holes completed at the project. Significant assays included hole ACD109 of 106.2 meters (m) with 0.85% copper, 0.55 grams per ton (g/t) gold and 6.14 g/t silver, or 1.16% copper equivalent including 30.48m with 1.87% copper, 1 g/t gold and 16.69 g/t silver or 2.43% copper equivalent, and 5.90m with 6.11% copper, 2.59 g/t gold and 68.40 g/t silver or 7.64% copper equivalent. The company said additional late-mineral gold-copper veins, known as carbonate base metal veins, have shown correlations in their continuity and grade, and are being investigated further.
South Star Battery Metals Corp announced that it has received the construction permit for its Santa Cruz Mine in Brazil from the municipality of Itabela. “The municipal construction permit was the final approval we needed for Phase 1 construction to begin in earnest, and are pleased to have achieved this important milestone,” South Star CEO Richard Pearce said in a statement. “...We look forward to working closely with them through construction and the start of commercial production in Q4 of 2023.”
Zeb Nickel (TSX-V:ZBNI, OTC:ZBNIF) Corp revealed that an analysis of reports detailing historical drilling has revealed the presence of anomalously high gold mineralization in hole UIT01-5 on the Zebediela project, located on the northern limb of the Bushveld Complex in South Africa. The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said the hole is located about 530 meters (m) north of hole Z026, which also contained anomalously high gold mineralization. According to the company, the historical hole drilled by Falconbridge, which is UIT01-5 and Zeb Nickel (TSX-V:ZBNI, OTC:ZBNIF) hole, Z026, both intersected anomalously high gold mineralization in the northern portion of the project area.

Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Corp has completed and submitted for assessment a helicopter-borne gamma-ray spectrometry and VTEM geophysical survey on its Loranger uranium property in northern Saskatchewan. The survey, which focused on the eastern Athabasca Basin area, extended and discovered new electromagnetic (EM) conductors, and provided structural geophysical characteristics. Specifically, the company found EM lineaments exceeding 10 kilometers in contiguous strike length, as well as EM conductors that are offset by younger features.

Braxia Scientific Corp announced that the Supreme Court of British Columbia has approved a settlement of a class action lawsuit that was filed in May 2021 against Braxia Scientific, its CEO, certain of its former officers, a shareholder, and underwriters. The Canadian settlement contemplates a cash payment of C$1.9 million, of which the company will be paying C$1.6 million. The court approval of an agreement in principle to settle claims alleged in a securities class action against the company and certain of its former officers filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California in April 2021, remains pending. The US settlement contemplates a cash payment by the company of US$1 million to settle the US Class Action. After available insurance, and assuming the court approval of the US settlement is obtained, the total cost to the company to settle both class actions will be approximately C$1.36 million.
