Advanced Oncotherapy PLC (AIM:AVO) has raised £1.465mln via a direct subscription for shares at 25p each.
The company said the subscription was organised to accommodate demand from investors that missed out on equity fundraisers earlier in the summer that brought in just under £6.6mln.
The shares also come with a warrant attached exercisable at 25p.
AVO is developing the next-generation proton beam therapy system. Its LIGHT technology is far smaller but as effective as the current proton treatments for cancer.
Its first commercial base will be on Harley Street, the heart of London’s medical district.
