Viscount Mining Corp (TSX-V:VML, OTCQB:VLMGF) announced that it has completed a successful four-phase step-out drill program at the Kate deposit at its Silver Cliff property in Colorado.
The project generator and exploration company said the goal of the four drill phases has been to focus on defining higher grade silver and expansion to the previously-defined NI 43-101 Kate Silver Resource (KSR) from April 2018.
“We were able to confirm the hypothesis that there exists a higher-grade zone within the KSR that had been previously much ignored,” Viscount Mining CEO Jim MacKenzie said in a statement.

“Also, drilling has expanded the resource in three key directions that remain open to expansion,” MacKenzie added.
Viscount noted its independent geologist is now reviewing assays and analyzing the results along with the calculation of the data from the 46 additional holes drilled by Viscount since 2020, which will be included in an updated NI 43-101 resource estimate to be released shortly.
The company added that its next phase of drilling at the Kate deposit will include some areas to the north-north-west that have shown good potential combined with historical information, but has not been drill tested.
Six drilling campaigns have been conducted at Silver Cliff and Viscount has drilled 54 holes, of which 25 assayed greater than 110 grams per tonne (g/t) silver with 10 drill holes displaying intervals assaying over 400 g/t silver, according to the company.
Viscount Mining is a project generator and an exploration company with a portfolio of silver and gold properties in the Western United States, including Silver Cliff in Colorado and Cherry Creek in Nevada.
