Gresham House sees inflows in all divisions as AUM rise 11%

Assets under management rose 11% to £7.3bn in the half year

Gresham House said all of its divisions saw inflows in the first half of 2022 as assets under management rose by 11% to £7.3bn.

Inflows totalled £299mln, while the value of the funds under its control rose by £352mln led by significant gains in forestry management, the largest division by AUM, and new energy and sustainables.

Tony Dalwood, chief executive, noted the group had undertaken successful fundraises in forestry, at its GRID battery storage business, and also raised £80mln in affordable housing.

Net core income rose by 61% to £37mln, with higher margins lifting profits by 91% to £13.2mln helped also by the acquisitions of Mobeus VCT and asset manager Appian.

Gresham House said it expects assets under management to grow further in the second half of the year, with additional fund raises planned by several of its divisions, adding operating profits will at least match market expectations.

Dalwood said the intention is also to increase the dividend by well above the rate of inflation.
