GTI Energy has drills spinning as it targets ISR uranium at five prospects of Great Divide Basin Project, US

The company will drill 130 holes at uranium prospects - Thor, Wicket East, Odin, Loki and Teebo. Drill rigs are at work on the Thor ISR prospect, targeting a roll front of economical mineralisation identified earlier this year.

GTI Energy Ltd (ASX:GTR) has begun to zero in on uranium mineralisation at five prospects of the Great Divide Basin (GDB) Project in Wyoming, US, with the first target being a ‘roll front’ of economical mineralisation identified at Thor in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium prospect in drilling earlier this year.

The drilling campaign is targeted at the northeast portion of the project tenure, which also holds the Wicket East, Odin, Loki and Teebo prospects.

Two drill rigs have been mobilised to the Thor prospect, intended to complete 64 holes of 70 remaining at this roll front target.

After Thor, the rigs will move to Wicket East, Odin, Teebo, and Loki. First results are expected within the next 2-3 weeks.

Drilling at Wicket East, Odin, Loki and Teebo

Wicket East sits on the southern boundary of Ur-Energy’s Lost Soldier deposit, which holds a NI 43-101 coded resource (non-JORC compliant) of 14 million pounds of uranium.

GTR intends to drill 20 holes for 20,000 feet at Wicket East, exploring a projected mineralised trend interpreted to extend from the southern boundary of the Lost Soldier property for about 3 miles.

Odin and Teebo are east of Uranium Energy Corp’s Antelope Project, with Loki sitting directly to the south of Antelope, and north of Ur-Energy’s Lost Creek ISR plant.

GTI Energy intends to complete 40 holes for 40,000 feet over these three prospects, exploring some five miles of mineralised trends interpreted from historical information.

Overall, GTR plans to complete 130 holes for about 130,000 feet of drilling over five prospects at the Great Divide Project.
