Unrivaled Brands Inc (OTCQX:UNRV) has found its interim chief financial officer in seasoned cannabis and financial services executive Patty Chan, the company announced, effective Monday.
Chan brings more than 14 years of accounting, financial reporting, compliance and operational experience across the cannabis, real estate, and financial services industries, the company said. She previously served as CFO of Upexi Inc (formerly Grove Inc), a manufacturing, distribution, wholesale and retail company in the CBD industry.
The addition of Chan is a significant move for interim CEO Sabas Carrillo, who was appointed on August 12.
“Patty brings the talent and leadership required for this moment at Unrivaled,” Carrillo said in a statement. “Her extensive forensic accounting experience will be instrumental in effectively addressing certain litigation and claims alleged against Unrivaled. Once again, per the company’s engagement with Adnant, we are able to add to the puissance of a formidable team at no additional cost to the company.
Chan is currently a manager at Adnant LLC, an accounting and consulting firm advising cannabis companies on technical and operational accounting, strategic transactions and the public offering process.

Unrivaled Brands operates four dispensaries in California, as well as direct-to-consumer delivery, a state-wide distribution network, company-owned brands, and two cultivation facilities. In Oregon, it operates a state-wide distribution network, company-owned brands and outdoor and greenhouse cultivation.
