ETC Group co-founder and CEO Bradley Duke takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the much-anticipated Ethereum Merge on Thursday, September 15, 2022, which will see the Ethereum Mainnet merging with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake system.
At the same time, Duke said some ETH miners are engineering a hard fork which will happen at the time of the Merge, creating a new ETH blockchain that will remain on proof-of-work.
Duke said holders of ETC Group's Physical Ethereum ZETH exchange-trading product (ETP) will receive an additional ETP holding the crypto coins that result from the fork on a one-for-one basis.
