Doré Copper Mining reveals drilling plans for Joe Mann gold mine and Doré Ramp gold-copper deposit in Quebec

“The immediate vicinity of the Copper Rand mill is showing strong potential for the discovery of new copper and gold mineralization,” the company said

Doré Copper Mining Corp has announced plans to begin drilling at Joe Mann gold mine and at the Doré Ramp gold-copper deposit in the fourth quarter.

At the Joe Man project in Quebec, the company said its drilling plan for the Fall is to extend the plunge of a mineralized shoot in the Main Zone at depths between 1,100 and 1,300 metres (m).

The former Joe Mann gold mine is one of the three projects feeding into the company’s Copper Rand mill in its hub-and-spoke operation model, with the current resource at the property standing at 680,000 tonnes averaging 6.78 grams per tonne of gold (g/t) and 0.24% copper (or 133,000 ounces) in the inferred category.

Doré noted that it has an option agreement to acquire 100% of the Joe Mann property by January 2, 2023.

At the Doré Ramp deposit, located in the Chibougamau Central mining camp in Quebec near the Copper Rand mill, the company said the next drilling phase would build on historic drilling carried about between 1984 and 1992 and indicate if the mineralization system extends up dip along strike.

“The immediate vicinity of the Copper Rand mill is showing strong potential for the discovery of new copper and gold mineralization,” Doré said.

At the Doré Ramp North Zone, located 450 m northeast of the Doré Ramp deposit, the company said it intended to follow up on a previously drilled target after completing the drill program at Doré Ramp, and continue its compilation work on the area around the large Copper Rand property.

The company said it would be using Miikan Drilling, a joint venture between Chibougamau Diamond Drilling Ltd, the First Nations community of Ouje-Bougoumou and the First Nations community of Mistissini both located in the Eeyou Istchee territory, as the drilling contractor.

Doré aims to be the next copper producer in Quebec with an initial production target of more than 50 million pounds of copper equivalent annually by implementing a hub-and-spoke operation model with multiple high-grade copper-gold assets feeding its centralized Copper Rand mill.
