Franchise Brands PLC (AIM:FRAN) has announced that Andy Brattesani has joined its board as a non-executive director.
The company noted that Brattesani is an experienced banking professional with extensive experience in the franchising sector. From 2016 until recently he was UK Head of Franchise at HSBC, the market leader in the UK franchise sector with an extensive client base including many of the largest franchise brands.
As well as supporting the growth of HSBC's franchise business in the UK, Brattesani also led the expansion of HSBC's franchise model internationally. His career in banking over the past 30 years has also encompassed roles with HBOS, RBS and Standard Chartered.
In a statement, Stephen Hemsley, Franchise Brands executive chairman, commented: "We are pleased to welcome Andy to the board of Franchise Brands as a Non-Executive Director. His substantial franchising experience, profile in, and knowledge of the market, and business development expertise will be particularly valuable as we continue to grow our business both in the UK and internationally".
Brattesani added: "I am delighted to be joining the board of Franchise Brands at this time. I look forward to contributing my franchising and business development experience to support the team in driving the future growth of the business".
Brattesani, aged 60, does not have any current directorships and has not held any directorships in the past five years, the international multi-brand franchise business noted.
