Kavango eyeing 'more expansive reconnaissance' program at KSZ

Proof of concept work has already been carried out at KSZ

Kavango Resources said it spent US$1.64mln in its latest half year on exploration across its prospects in Botswana.

This included a 3,300m proof of concept in the Kalahari Suture Zone, where multiple EM conductors have been identified and 1,600m at Ditau where petrology samples are pending.

Going forward, Kavango said it is actively exploring how it can roll out a much more expansive reconnaissance campaign across the 8,800 km2 KSZ property.

Extensive geological mapping and soil sampling program were also carried out across five Kalahari Copper Belt prospecting licences, resulting in the definition of multiple drill targets, said its statement.

Losses for the half year to June were US$883,000 (US$776,00) with cash and equivalents at the half-year of US$1.1mln.
