1. FTSE 100 closes in positive territory
The FTSE 100 finished Thursday up around 24 points, or 0.33%, at 7,262, having been lower earlier this afternoon. There was a sombre mood amid mounting concerns over the health of the Queen.

Truss said the government will ensure the UK is a net energy exporter of energy by 2040 via the adoption of fracking, as well as expanding nuclear and renewable energy generation.
2. Primark becomes one of the first to say it will not hike its prices
Associated British Foods, which owns the discount clothing store, said it expects profit margins to be lower next year as it battles with the cost-of-living crisis, sending its shares tumbling 9% to 1,322p.
3. Kim Kardashian launches private equity firm SKKY Partners
Kardashian co-founded the company with one of her previous partners, Jay Sammons, a former executive at the multinational investment firm Carlyle Group.
5. Melrose Industries sinks further on GKN demerger plan
Melrose Industries shares fell again as the financial engineer announced plans to spin out a big chunk of the GKN business it bought four years ago in a bitterly fought £8bn takeover scrap.
