Global Energy Metals Corp (TSX-V:GEMC) (GEMC) revealed it will begin mobilizing for a field program at its Nevada battery metals projects following the results of property-wide study by Earthlabs Inc, formerly GoldSpot Discoveries Corp, which used artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies.
In all, 30 exploration targets have been identified with 15 on the Lovelock project and 15 at the Treasure Box project in the Stillwater Range in the US state.
Earthlabs’ work highlighted cobalt, nickel, copper potential.
"The work done by Earthlabs has identified a series of targets for GEMC to focus their exploration work on," said Vincent Dube-Bourgeois, the CEO of Earthlabs in a statement.
"We've taken a large area of land and using our proprietary Smart Target approach have reduced the area of focus to maximize efficiency for exploration. Our technological approach allows GEMC to gather the most information possible in the areas that matter the most and increase exploration success."

Meanwhile, Mitchell Smith, the CEO of GEMC, added: "The investigative work undertaken by the Earthlabs technical team along with their machine learning and AI application significantly improve our understanding and the potential for a much larger mineralized system on our land holdings for those metals, like cobalt, nickel and copper, that are critical to an electrified future."
GEMC said it would begin mobilizing for a field program to check the exploration target areas presented in a bid to confirm lithologies, validate and prioritize targets.
The Lovelock asset comprises 81 claims in the Cottonwood Canyon area of the Stillwater Range and spans around 642 hectares. It was discovered by George Lovelock and Charles Bell in about 1880. A mine operated from 1883 to 1890 to the 100 foot level, reporting 500 tons of cobalt and nickel mineralized material, which was shipped to England for processing.
Treasure Box hosts mine workings from limited copper production, which occurred until early into the 20th century. A historical diamond drill hole (circa 1910) by the Boyer-Nevada Copper Company reportedly hit 1.52% copper over 85 feet (25.9 metres) with mineralization beginning at surface, noted the company.
GEMC offers investment exposure to the growing rechargeable battery and electric vehicle (EV) market by building a diversified global portfolio of exploration and growth-stage battery mineral assets.
As demonstrated by its current copper, nickel and cobalt projects in Canada, Australia, Norway and the United States, it is investing-in, exploring and developing prospective, scaleable assets in established mining and processing jurisdictions in close proximity to end-use markets.
