Alchemy Resources executes native title agreements at Karonie and Lake Rebecca

All exploration on the properties will take place with the Traditional Owner’s knowledge and fully informed consent.

Alchemy Resources Ltd (ASX:ALY) has inked two native title heritage agreements, spanning 17 exploration licences across the Karonie and Lake Rebecca projects in Western Australia.

The Kakarra claim covers a substantial pocket of exploration tenure, including the Cherry, Hickory, Mesquite & Pecan lithium pegmatite target areas, while the Nyalpa Pirniku claim covers several granted exploration licences and licence applications at Alchemy’s Lake Rebecca project.

Ultimately, the heritage protection agreements cornerstone Alchemy’s collaboration with the Kakarra and Nyalpa Pirniku people, the native title claimants in WA’s Goldfields region.

Thanks to the deal, all exploration on the properties will take place with the Traditional Owner’s knowledge and fully informed consent.

This means Alchemy can comply with its heritage protection obligations as it explores for gold, base and battery metals in WA’s Eastern Goldfields.

Framework for “strong and long-term relationship”

Alchemy Resources CEO James Wilson said: “We would like to thank the Nyalpa Pirniku and Kakarra people for their support in reaching this significant milestone for Alchemy.

“Alchemy is committed to working with our traditional owner partners across all our projects.

“Through these agreements, we have a framework to build a strong and long-term relationship.

“We have some very encouraging lithium and gold targets to test across this highly prospective ground and we are eager to commence work on the ground as quickly as possible.”
