Nickel North Exploration Corp (TSX-V:NNX) announced that its team, along with Fargo Exploration, is commencing on-site field exploration work at the Hawk Ridge nickel-copper-cobalt-platinum group elements (PGE) sulfide project in Kuujjuaq, Quebec.
This season's fieldwork will focus on expanding the dataset on the high-grade raglan-type sulfide nickel-copper mineralized Potato zones, as well as intrusive feeder structures and high-grade PGE mineralization zones.
The goal is to prepare for a large drilling program in 2023, the company said.

Highlights of the work program include:
- Backpack drilling holes 5-9 for a total of 50-80 meters at the Hope Advance zone, Gamma zone, Flaco 7 zone and Pio zone
- Mapping, as well as rock and soil samplings at the Falco 7 zone, Hope Advance zone, Gamma zone, Pio zone and Lucille zone
- A special focus on four intrusive feeder structures: Hope Advance, Fold and Bay, Horseshoe and South Mag #2
- A special focus on high-grade PGE mineralization zones
