Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR) continues to expand the zinc-lead footprint at Tonka-Navajoh Prospect within the Earaheedy Project in Western Australia.
Drilling at Tonka has extended high-grade intercepts at the Colorado Fault Zone by more than 100% to in excess of 2.5 kilometres ... and it remains open to the east.
Results for 62 drill holes from ongoing reverse circulation (RC) drilling on the Tonka-Navajoh Prospect include:
- 25 metres at 5.69% zinc+lead from 215 metres including 12 metres at 9.72% zinc+lead from 216 metres and a higher grade zone returning 5 metres at 14.14% zinc+lead from 216 metres;
- 13 metres at 4.64% from 208 metres to end of hole including 4 metres at 11.46% from 215 metres plus a shallow intercept of 3 metres at 5.17% from 22 metres;
- 12 metres at 2.55% from 208 metres. The hole ended in high-grade mineralisation including 2 metres at 8.20% from 218 metres;
- 11 metres at 4.96% from 138 metres including 8 metres at 5.95% from 139 metres;
- 20 metres at 2.54% from 179 metres including 5 metres at 6.42% from 179 metres;
- 5 metres at 5.75% from 196 metres; and
- 10 metres at 3.43% from 110 metres.
A more than 8% zinc-lead zone over 2 kilometres has now been defined, showing zinc sulphide being dominant, with ratios of up to 10:1.
Colorado drill hole intersections and geology
The Magazine Fault Zone within the Tonka Prospect lies 600 metres south of Colorado and is now interpreted to trend east-west.
Recent drilling results and pending holes supported by pXRF analyses highlight potential strong zinc dominant mineralisation that remains open along strike.
The easternmost hole returned 8 metres at 4.00% zinc+lead (3.71% zinc and 0.29% lead) from 151 metres with narrow higher-grade zones of 1-metre at 8.14% from 156 metres and 1-metre at 8.37% from 162 metres.
Navajoh Prospect
A single RC reconnaissance hole was drilled 1.3 kilometres southeast of the Navajoh Prospect to test a gravity target.
Results returned strong zinc dominant mineralisation including 5 metres at 2.74% zinc+lead (2.66% zinc and 0.08% lead) from 151 metres including 1-metre at 11.03% (10.85% zinc and 0.18% lead) from 153 metres.
The new intercept show a new east-west mineralised fault zone, which is open in all directions and remains to be drill tested.
What’s next?
A further 38 RC and diamond holes from the recent campaign to infill and extend Colorado and Magazine remain to be reported.
Early interpretation of the preliminary Airborne Gravity Gradiometric (AGG) data has highlighted the areas as potentially a series of stacked high grade east-west mineralising structures within the extensive 8 kilometre by 2 kilometre mineralised envelope at Tonka-Navajoh.
Multiple new targets are being generated from the preliminary data for which Rumble is planning further RC/DDH drill testing in the near term.
Sighter metallurgical test-work to develop a preliminary flowsheet for the sulphide flotation concentrate is progressing well, while an independent technical study to determine the optimum drill spacing for a maiden resource has commenced.
