Red River Resources Ltd (ASX:RVR) has appointed Mark Hanlon as interim non-executive chair and Patrick O’Connor as executive director and interim CEO following the resignations of former non-executive chair Brett Fletcher and former non-executive director Ian Smith, effective by the end of August.
Red River’s board has thanked Fletcher and Smith for their contributions.
O’Connor will fill the role of executive director and assume the chief executive officer’s responsibilities from September 5, 2022, at which point current managing director Mel Palancian will transition to a non-executive director.
Search begins for new directors
Red River’s board is now looking for a new managing director and additional non-executive directors.
Chair Mark Hanlon said: “I would like to thank Brett for his leadership and guidance over the past seven years, enabling the company to successfully refurbish the Thalanga processing plant and commence operations initially at West 45 followed by Far West and soon to be Liontown.
“Ian Smith has provided the company with the benefit of his operational and corporate experience for the past 16 months.
“Both Brett and Ian leave the company due to increasing other commitments.”
