Mode Global Holdings PLC (LSE:MODE, OTCQB:MODGF) said it received approval from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to add multiple crypto tokens to the Mode App.
The London-listed fintech will add 10 new tokens later this year that users can buy and sell, according to a statement.
The tokens, which will be made available through a phased approach, include Ethereum, Cardano, Solana, Polygon, British Pound Tether, Polkadot, Dogecoin, Cosmos, USD Coin and Tether.
“This expansion of tokens available on the platform will be a significant milestone for Mode, and the FCA's regulatory approval is, we believe, a testament to our secure and well-governed infrastructure, which makes this token expansion possible,” said chief executive Rita Liu.
Mode said the addition of new tokens is the latest innovation introduced, following an expanded cashback programme that allows users to earn Bitcoin from retailers, as well as payroll partnerships confirmed earlier this year.
According to the statement, Mode has also been working on helping retailers cut transaction costs by accepting payment through its app and allowing businesses to reward its customers with Bitcoin via its reward solution.
