Sanatana Resources Inc said it has completed a drill program at its Oweegee Dome copper-gold project in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, which indicates that the site hosts a copper-gold porphyry system.
The company said 12 drill holes totalling 3,679 metres were drilled.
Copper mineralization was observed in eight holes and the area of copper mineralization was significantly expanded at the Delta prospect, with mineralization hosted in hydrothermal intrusive breccias, according to Sanatana.
Assay results from the drill program are pending.

Sanatana CEO Peter Miles said the drill program was designed to test the theory that there was a copper-gold porphyry system at the project.
“Our geological staff and hired expert consultants, all who have extensive porphyry experience, unanimously confirmed that we are in the upper levels of a porphyry system,” he said.
“Future exploration will seek to locate the thermal centre of this system where the high grades should reside."
The company said field work continues at the property, with field crews concentrating on mapping and sampling Skowill prospect and an area of QSP altered intrusions east of Bear Creek, which is located 1 kilometre east of the current drilling on the Delta prospect.
A Dias geophysical crew is also conducting an IP survey over the Delta prospect area and extending and infilling to the west.
