Guild Esports PLC (LSE:GILD, OTC:GULDF) said it signed a “significant expansion” to its partnership with Samsung with a new sponsorship agreement and the renewal of an existing deal.
The new deal concerns Samsung’s TV/AV division and appoints Guild Esports as the esports company’s official TV partner in the UK and Ireland for the next year.
Part of the sponsorship deal includes Samsung supplying its Neo QLED TV’s to Guild’s academy, pro-players, content streamers and its London headquarters.
Separately, Samsung Display extended its sponsorship for an additional year, which makes Samsung the company’s official display partner.
Guild said the total value of these deals amounts to six figures in pounds sterling, with 75% payable in cash and the rest in “state-of-the-art products” provided by Samsung.
“This is a resounding validation of Guild's reach and value proposition by a world-class consumer brand, and we look forward to collaborating with them even more closely to deliver to our young and engaged esports audience,” said Guild chief executive Kal Hourd.
