AstraZeneca PLC (LSE:AZN) chief executive said the company is on the hunt for small and mid-sized companies.
In an interview with Reuters, Pascal Soriot said the FTSE 100 giant is particularly interested in firms that specialise in oncology and cardiovascular treatments.
“We always look for opportunities,” Soriot said.
Delays in production, regulatory probes and concerns over its short shelf life slowed down the adoption of its COVID-19 vaccine, with much of the world preferring Pfizer and Moderna’s mRNA vaccine as a booster, with the group looking for bolt-on acquisitions.
