Former athlete Usain Bolt has applied to the US Patent and Trademark Office to trademark a logo of his winning celebration pose.
The pose depicts Bolt leaning back and with one arm extended, pointing into the sky.
In addition to jewellery, purses, sunglasses, shoes, and sporting goods, Bolt has also applied for a logo that will be used in restaurants and sports bars with VIP areas, catering and loyalty programmes.
Josh Gerben, a Washington DC-based trademark expert, told Bloomberg: "The list is relatively extensive.
"The logo could be licensed or he could make those products himself."
Twelve years ago, Bolt applied for trademarks involving a similar logo, but it went unused.
His endorsement portfolio includes brands such as Puma SE sportswear, Hublot SA watches, and PepsiCo (NASDAQ:PEP)'s Gatorade.
Bolt has also invested in businesses such as Champion Shave razors, Enertor insoles and Wylde, an esports organisation.
When Bolt dominated the Olympics in Beijing in 2008, his signature pose became internationally known, and the sportstar leaned back and gestured to the sky after setting world records and winning numerous gold medals.
