Wizz Air Holdings PLC (AIM:WIZZ) said its chief financial officer Jourik Hooghe will step down to pursue opportunities outside of the European budget airline.
Ian Malin, who will join Wizz Air on October 1, will take over the CFO role. Hooghe will be available during the transition period until December 31.
Malin has a proven track record in the finance area as a global executive, said the Budapest-based company.
He was appointed chief strategy and commercial officer at aircraft and engine parts specialist Unical Aviation Inc just two months ago.
In his 22 years of experience, Malin previously worked at KPMG, Allco Finance Group, Seabury and the AJW Group.
Wizz Air chief executive József Váradi thanked Hooghe for his contribution to the company over the past three years and called it “probably the most challenging period for any airline CFO.”
