Fibre-optic supplier Unigel plans to float on Aquis

A total of 11,285,000 ordinary shares are to be issued at a nominal value price of 0.5p per share, with an expected admission date of August 26, 2022

Unigel Group PLC, a supplier of thixotropic gels to the fibre-optic cable industry, has announced its application for admission into the Aquis Stock Exchange (AQSE).

A total of 11,285,000 ordinary shares are to be issued at a nominal value price of 0.5p per share, with an expected admission date of August 26, 2022.

“With admission to AQSE, the group is optimistic that in addition to raising funds from the IPO for general working capital requirements, it will also be able to tap into capital markets to create an acquisition currency to address its strategic alternatives initiative,” Unigel stated.

Unigel group, which is also a leading supplier of laminated steel tapes, acts as the holding company for its wholly-owned operating subsidiary, Unitape Limited, and its 60% owned operating subsidiary, Unigel (UK) Limited.

Thixotropic gels and laminated steel tapes are essential components to the rapidly growing global fibre optic cable market.
