Chalice Mining Ltd (ASX:CHN, OTCQB:CGMLF) has appointed highly regarded leader and strategic policy director Jo Gaines to its board as an independent non-executive director, effective immediately.
Gaines previously worked as deputy chief of staff to the Premier of Western Australia and was a leader in the development of the WA Recovery Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She brings extensive experience in intergovernmental negotiations and stakeholder engagement, and currently acts as chair of the Government Employees Superannuation Board (GESB) and a director of DevelopmentWA.
Gaines holds more than ten years’ experience as Branch Secretary for the Community and the Public Sector Union/Civil Service Association.
She has worked with government, private sector and non-government organisations to drive reforms in a diverse range of fields, including job creation, economic diversification, energy, training, child protection, health, contracting and procurement, and climate change.
Strategic skillset of “immense value”

Gaines is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Curtin University.
