Dart Mining NL (ASX:DTM) has fielded sizeable soil copper and gold anomalies from rock samples collected across the Granite Flat Copper-Gold Project in Victoria, further strengthening recent soil sampling and drilling results.
A total of 98 chip samples were collected, with 72 returning anomalous values for either copper, gold, silver, lead or zinc.
Some of the peak chip sample results include:
- 5 metres at 6.0 g/t gold, 14.4 g/t silver, 0.52% copper;
- 5 metres at 1.0 g/t gold, 0.9 g/t silver, 0.21% copper;
- 2.2 metres at 2.0 g/t gold; and
- 1.3 metres at 2.4 g/t gold, 6.0 g/t silver, 0.12% copper.
Peak grab sample results include:
- 27.9 g/t gold, 30 g/t silver, 2.83% copper;
- 22.3 g/t gold, 52.2 g/t silver, 0.74% copper;
- 9.1 g/t gold, 23.4 g/t silver, 6.65% copper;
- 2.9 g/t gold, 61.9 g/t silver, 0.21% copper, 0.2% molybdenum, 0.54% lead, 0.46% zinc; and
- 16.1 g/t gold, 25 g/t silver, 3.12% copper.
The results have provided Dart Mining with an abundance of targets for exploration drilling, which the company will include in the planned summer drill program.

Encouraging outcome
Dart Mining has conducted geological mapping, geophysics, soil surveys, and drilling at Granite Flats over the past 18 months, and uncovered diverse mineralisation and alteration styles showing the geological complexity of the project.
Due to the limited nature of outcrop available at the project, many of the samples are spot (grab) samples of either float material or from mullock dumps adjacent to historic workings that have targeted narrow, high-grade gold and copper mineralisation on discrete structures.
