Andromeda Metals Ltd (ASX:ADN) has advanced the Great White Kaolin Project in South Australia a step closer to production with the inking of land purchase agreements and the lodgement of a Program for Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation (PEPR).
The PEPR and land agreements are a necessary step in progressing the Great White Project, and their completion will de-risk the project’s development and increase confidence for the incoming investment phase.
The land agreements cover all the required freehold land for the project to proceed, and include a waiver for Exempt Land under the Mining Act 1971 (Waivers), which allows for authorised operations and will facilitate the transition to construction, following approval of the PEPR.
“Important milestones achieved”
“The agreements and submission of the PEPR signify important milestones achieved in progressing the Great White Kaolin Project,” Andromeda Metals managing director James Marsh said.
“They follow months of extensive stakeholder consultations with landholders and the broader Eyre Peninsula community.
“These positive outcomes demonstrate Andromeda’s ability to work collaboratively to deliver win-win solutions, that progress the project while also delivering benefits to the surrounding communities.”
Andromeda says the PEPR and land agreements were the result of ongoing consultation with landowners and the Eyre Peninsula community, as well as South Australia’s Department for Energy and Mining (DEM).
