Engineer Libertine Holdings PLC (AIM:LIB) has inked a partnership deal with OFFICINA MOTO ITALIA (OMI) to create a compact linear generator product that could be used in harness with the Milan, Italy-based outfit’s two-stroke technology.
Linear generators enable clean and efficient power generation from renewable fuels and have a range of potential applications, including small, packaged generators and hybrid powertrains for road transportation.
Libertine’s technology is likely to be scaled down for use in two- and three-wheeled vehicles.
"Our customers are looking for more efficient, cleaner and more fuel flexible power generation solutions,” said OMI chief executive Mario Pagani.
“We identified Libertine's linear generator technology platform to help us create such products.”
