Advanced and luxury leather goods producer Pittards PLC (AIM:PTD) signed a sponsorship deal with its local team Yeovil Town Football Club, 'the Glovers'.
The agreement will allow Pittards to add its branding to the pitch side and on the back and sleeves of the team's shirts.
Yeovil will also donate new kit to the Sarus Addus Sefir youth football team in Ethiopia, where Pittards employs approximately 1,000 people at its local factories and tannery.
The Ethiopian football team has been supported by Pittards for five years.
Reg Hankey, Pittards chief executive, commented: "Both Pittards and Yeovil Town FC have been part of the fabric of the town for over 150 years.
“As far back as 1896, Charles Wreford Pittard was playing in goal for Yeovil Casuals, who would go on to become today's team.
“It is a natural fit for us to come together but what makes this agreement special is that it is a true partnership that creates benefits for our communities in both the UK and Ethiopia."
