BioLargo Inc announced that it has secured its first customer to engineer a comprehensive per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) mitigation plan for an industrial site, and has signed an agreement with a new channel partner to sell the company's PFAS treatment equipment and engineering services. Tamarack, Minnesota-based Talon has struck an option and earn-in agreement with UPX Minerals Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sweetwater Royalties, to acquire up to an 80% ownership interest in the mineral rights over a 400,000-acre land package in Michigan. The historic parcel of land was originally assembled by Henry Ford and owned for 70 years by the Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F). The analysts, who have a “Buy” rating on Talon, described the push into Michigan as “incrementally positive.”

Westwater Resources Inc has announced its results for the second quarter to June 30, 2022, and provided an update on its Kellyton graphite processing plant currently under construction in east-central Alabama. The company said it had cash of $109 million and working capital of $102.7 million at the end of June and reiterated its target to begin commissioning the graphite plant within a year. Aftermath Silver Ltd said it has completed its acquisition of the Challacollo silver-gold project in Chile. The deal, first announced in November 2019 and updated in April 2021, saw Aftermath acquire all of the issued and outstanding equity rights of Minera Mandalay Challacollo Limitada from Mandalay Resources Corporation (MRC) and Mandalay Resources SPA. The company made the final payment of C$3 million to MRC using $1 million in cash, 6.1 million newly issued common shares at a price of C$0.245 and a promissory note for C$500,000. The note is repayable upon the completion of a debt or equity financing with gross proceeds of at least C$1 million or on December 31, 2022, whichever is earlier. "We're excited to finally own 100% of the Challacollo silver-gold project, and to begin to explore its exploration potential once all of the required permits are in place,” Aftermath CEO Ralph Rushton said in a statement.

American Resources Corporation announced that it has started planning and development on another two carbon mines in Pike County, Kentucky, which will supply its McCoy Elkhorn complex. American Resources told shareholders that the mines have a “low cost of development” and are capable of producing up to 45,000 tons per month. The firm’s McCoy Elkhorn complex has a hub and spoke model, existing permits, two onsite carbon processing facilities and a rail load-out facility.

Aurion Resources Limited announced results from regional exploration programs and the start of drilling at its wholly-owned Risti property in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt in northern Finland. Cordoba Minerals Corp said it has arranged an additional short-term loan with its majority shareholder Ivanhoe Electric Inc (IE), its majority shareholder. The company has arranged a Bridge loan of US$2 million from IE following its previously announced short-term loan of US$6 million. The Bridge loan will be evidenced on a new grid promissory note and bears interest at 12% per annum, compounding only at maturity.
