Red River Resources Ltd (ASX:RVR) has fielded another set of solid gold grades from drilling at the Eleanora-Garibaldi prospect of the Hillgrove Gold Project in New South Wales, underscoring the growth potential of the asset.
There were four distinct mineralised zones in drilling at Eleanora-Garibaldi, including:
ELG168:
- 15.0 metres at 2.4 g/t gold from 146.0 metres;
- 11.5 metres at 2.9 g/t gold from 147.0 metres;
- 9.0 metres at 3.4 g/t gold from 149.5 metres; and,
- 6.5 metres at 4.2g/t gold from 149.5 metres, including 3.3 metres at 5.6 g/t gold from 152.0 metres.
ELG170:
- 8.1 metres at 3.0 g/t gold from 168.5 metres;
- 1.8 metres at 5.8 g/t gold from 168.5 metres; and,
- 2.6 metres at 3.7 g/t gold from 174.0 metres.
ELG167:
- 2.5 metres at 4.2 g/t gold from 148.5 metres; and,
- 2.0 metres at 3.5 g/t gold from 182.5 metres.
And finally, ELG169, which returned 4.1 metres at 2.1 g/t gold and 0.4% antimony from 203.5 metres.
Assays still pending for further drilling
Red River also completed two holes at Bakers Creek – following up discovery hole BKC008 which returned 0.45 metres at 257 g/t gold from 467.75 metres, within 4.50 metres at 29.5 g/t gold and 0.3% antimony from 466.0 metres.

The company also completed nine shallow infill holes at the historical Garibaldi Pit and nine generative exploration holes at the Cosmopolitan, Eleanora Far North and Freehold prospects.
Two diamond drill rigs are currently operating at Hillgrove as the RVR board engages in a strategic review of the project prior to resuming mining at the asset.
