Aurumin strikes 224-metre gold lode amid Two Mile Hill resource drilling

“We continue to see the Two Mile Hill underground deposit as a key part of the project going forward, with the scale to potentially underpin future production,” said managing director Brad Valiukas.

Aurumin Ltd (ASX:AUN) has recorded a whopping 224-metre gold intersection, grading at 1.5 g/t gold, during assay work at the Two Mile Hill deposit, part of the Central Sandstone gold property in WA.

The results are in for the second hole in a reverse circulation and diamond drilling expedition, which set out to extend and better define the project’s mineral resource.

Two Mile Hill is currently reported to host 14.2 million tonnes of ore, grading at 1.1 g/t for a half-million-ounce inferred, underground gold resource, but Aurumin hopes to build on that with more results like today’s.

Highlights within the largest interval include:

  • 49.6 metres at 2 g/t gold from 269 metres;
  • 20.2 metres at 2.6 g/t gold from 325.2 metres;
  • 12 metres at 3.7 g/t gold from 381.4 metres; and
  • 9 metres at 2.2 g/t gold from 427.2 metres.

"Another great result"

In a market announcement today, Aurumin managing director Brad Valiukas said the company was very happy with how Sandstone is progressing.

“We have been expanding our tenement footprint, looking for new deposits and advancing the currently inferred 500-ounce Two Mile Hill underground deposit with deep holes.

“This is another great result from Two Mile Hill. Like many other companies, we are frustrated by laboratory turnaround times on assays.

“We look forward to further results and expect to see results for the final two diamond holes of the four-hole program this month.

“We continue to see the Two Mile Hill underground deposit as a key part of the project going forward, with the scale to potentially underpin future production.”
