Tonix Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:TNXP) CEO Seth Lederman joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with news that the company has a monkeypox vaccine in development.
Declared a public health emergency by the US government last week, Lederman told Proactive that Tonix has been working on TNX-801, which prevents smallpox and monkeypox, for 10 years.
"We are excited about the prospect of getting involved in the monkeypox crisis right now," Lederman said.
Lederman also discussed recent news that Tonix Pharmaceuticals has received a grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse to support development of its treatment of cocaine intoxication.
