AQRU PLC (AQSE:AQRU), a UK-based fintech incubator and cryptocurrency platform, named co-founder Digby Try as chief commercial officer.
The move follows the recent appointment of former Crypto.com managing director Kamelia Gankova as chief operating officer and managing director of Accru Finance.
Before co-founding AQRU, Try was head of sales at banking and payment platform OpenPayd and held senior roles at currency exchange Moneycorp and transfer service provider HiFx.
He was also previously vice president of sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at payment platform Currencycloud, which was bought by Visa for £700mln in 2021.
Gankova established Crypto.com’s operations in Bulgaria and was director of customer services at online payments company Paysafe, where she managed the unification of its multinational service teams.
She was formerly head of servicing at online wallet and payments platform Skrill, overseeing payment departments and merchant, customer and VIP services.
Philip Blows, chief executive of AQRU, said: "With more than 35 years' combined experience helping companies in the fintech and crypto sectors navigate periods of change and grow their operations, Digby and Kamelia will continue bringing valuable insights and expertise to ensure we keep delivering services that enable both retail and institutional investors to take advantage of all the opportunities available in [decentralised finance]."
