Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has “exceeded expectations” with the latest round of drilling at the Niobe Rubidium-Lithium Project in Western Australia, intersecting multiple mica-rich pegmatite intervals of over 50 metres in width.
ARN’s drilling program was designed to investigate a possible extension of the Breakaway pegmatite toward Niobe Flats and has intersected very broad pegmatite sections up to 63 metres, with at least five intersections exceeding 50 metres.
The best intersections were in drill holes NBC0087 and NBC0098:
- NBC0087: intersections totalling 63 metres, including 50 metres from 8 metres downhole, 8 metres from 70 metres and 5 metres from 105 metres.
- NBC0098: intersections totalling 56 metres, including 2 metres from 3 metres downhole, 2 metres from 13 metres, 48 metres from 46 metres and 3 metres from 100 metres.
Niobe pegmatite interpretation
To date, Aldoro has completed 33 reverse circulation holes for 2,235 metres as part of a 68-hole, 4,260-metre program.
The exploratory drilling is targeting five pegmatite areas: the Main, Northeast, Breakaway, Southeast and Niobe Flats prospects.
All holes intersected pegmatites of various widths from under 1 metre to more than 50 metres. As such, the company has interpreted these results to mean the pegmatites are hosted as flat-lying sills or moderately steeply dipping dykes orientated to the northwest.
